Coronary angiography is a technique for imaging the invasion by injecting iodine-containing contrast media through a catheter directly into the cerebral artery to show the arteries and brain veins.
Brain angiography has been carried out in the world as well as in Vietnam for many years to diagnose as well as direction of treatment of cerebrovascular diseases
This technique is indicated for the diagnosis of cerebrovascular angiodysplasia (cerebral angiogenesis, cerebral venous thrombosis, echocardiography); coronary artery disease due to atherosclerosis, inflammation of blood vessels; acute or chronic bradycardia; coronary artery disease sinus cavity; cerebral blood test evaluating the collateral circulation prior to the node; evaluation of angiogenesis of brain tumors; Diagnosis of cerebral venous thrombocytopenia and diagnostic angiography before deciding on treatment interferes with injury. Electrocoagulation of the cerebral lesions eliminated without absolute contraindication, only contraindications relative to coagulation disorders, renal failure, history of allergy to contrast medium, pregnant women.
In order to perform this technique, the patient should be placed in hospital for inpatient care, clinically examined, and subjected to intensive and in-depth laboratory testing; x-rays, computerized tomography and / or magnetic resonance imaging for diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease or suspected cerebrovascular disease.
During the procedure, the patient only has to undergo anesthesia at the injection site, usually without the use of tranquilizers or anesthesia, only in cases where it is impossible to cooperate (due to cerebrovascular disease). ), anxiety or in combination with interventional treatment, the doctor will give sedative or anesthesia to the patient. After the procedure, the patient does not have to take special care, just lie back and watch for a short time.
The results of digitized cerebral angiography are considered to be the gold standard for diagnosing cerebrovascular diseases and to guide the most appropriate treatment for the patient.
