The Training and Education Center was established in 2008 with the objective of modernizing the information technology system to support the management and treatment of patients at Phu Tho General Hospital. Initially, the Center had two divisions:
The Training and Guidance Department is the contact point between the Phu Tho General Hospital and the Central Hospitals on training, technology transfer and implementation of the Satellite Hospital Project. The Information Technology Unit is responsible for deploying information technology in the whole hospital. This is also the place where the installation, repair, upgrading of the system and the management of hospital management software HIS.
By 2017, standing in front of the requirement to improve the quality of scientific research and international cooperation activities, the International Research and Development Agency was established. The unit is responsible for registration, implementation and acceptance of scientific research projects at all levels of the staff of the hospital; Organizing regular and intensive scientific meetings; monitor the conferences and seminars of the Hospital and act as a focal point in exchange activities with foreign countries.
Since its founding, staffs have always united in their efforts to build up the collective, constantly seeking new ways to improve the treatment process and simplify the process. Hospitals are still familiar with paper management while this method is complex, time-consuming and error-prone. Realizing the shortcomings of traditional management, the Center for Training and Guidance has boldly implemented the hospital management model using HIS software. As a result, the management of medical examination and treatment and payment of health insurance has become much simpler, administrative procedures have been more rapid, resulting in saving time and energy for both patients and health care workers. .
In addition to the strength of information technology, the Center also completed the task of training and scientific research. Training and directing unit of the successful implementation of the Satellite Hospital Project, providing medical staff with many opportunities for direct training by leading experts of the higher level. Successive faculties successfully implemented new technology, quality of medical examination and treatment is constantly improved. After 10 years of operation, the Center for Training and Guidance has grown to become a bright spot in the application of information technology in health care management in the region.
