3. History of faculty development
In 1975, the surgical anatomy team was established directly under the Viet Tri Hospital Medical Department. In 1983, the surgical anatomy team officially separated from the medical department and established the pathology department.
4. Functions and tasks
Surgery is the basis for making biopsies, histopathology, and post-mortem examinations to serve patients.
4.1 General tasks:
- Organizing the activities of the Faculty in accordance with the regulations of the Department of Surgery.
- Arrange laboratory, laboo and logical to ensure professional work.
- To carry out the reception and preservation of corpses.
- Check and approve the results of the test. Directly review complex specimens or suspect results.
- Preservation of surgical specimens in accordance with regulations. Provision of anatomical documentation upon the recommendation of the Director
- Organizing the work of disinfection, disinfection, disinfection and waste treatment in strict accordance with the anti-infection regulation and regulations on treatment of hospital wastes.

- Cytological diagnosis.
- Diagnosis of histopathology.
- Pathological surgery.

6. Achievement
The department has laboo pathology built in accordance with Laboo standards. Currently, the Faculty has implemented many new techniques such as immediate biopsy, immunohistochemical staining, CTC-DNA screening by liquid-prep method.
In addition, the faculty also carried out many scientific research topics, participating in training and guiding the route.
